I desk researched competitors in the market that serve the same user group and purpose as Lens to identify market opportunities.

This is Emily, she often can’t catch up with what the professors are saying during class.

College student’s emotions through out the semester.

I invited college students to share their emotional state throughout a semester, and how different events influence the states to get a complete view of their habits.

User Testing — Tested first stage product with target users (college students).

I provided prototype to target users (graduate and undergraduate students), and had conversations on feedbacks for concept, features, and interface design.

Target User Transition — Middle school students to college students.

Initial user testings revealed that middle school students often lack a clear sense of purpose and are easily distracted by technology. I shifted the focus to college students, who are more likely to benefit from the product.

UI System

I’ve selected the first blue-toned branding direction as the final choice. It aligns with Len's brand voice, projecting a modern, dynamic, and elegant image, and conveys a sense of professionalism and trustworthiness.
